World premiere for Hobbs & Shaw movie with Dwayne Johnson held in Hollywood

The world premiere of Hobbs & Shaw, the latest movie of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took place yesterday in Hollywood, California in a star-studded event. WWE Superstar Roman Reigns was also in attendance.

The movie, a spin-off from the Fast & Furious franchise, will be officially released in theaters on August 2 but the marketing machine is already at full speed ahead of the release date.

Directed by David Leitch, Hobbs & Shaw also features Jason Statham, Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby, and Helen Mirren in the leading roles. The movie is expected to be its own franchise for Universal Pictures and this first installment will see action from Los Angeles to London and from the toxic wasteland of Chernobyl to the lush beauty of Samoa.

Universal is certainly behind the project and with a $200 million budget, expectations are very high.
