Wooooo! Ric Flair appears at NWA’s 73rd anniversary PPV

“Nature Boy” Ric Flair appeared at the NWA 73rd anniversary pay-per-view yesterday at The Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri, his first appearance for the promotion since the early WCW days.

Flair cut a promo in the middle of the ring after receiving a big pop from the crowd and thanked Vince McMahon, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and many others. “Vince McMahon, I love you, that’s why I’m here. You know what? Vince McMahon is not going to watch this but he’s going to hear about it and he will say Ric Flair is back where he belongs,” Flair said. He also put over Triple H big time and mentioned that he has the NWA title hanging in his WWE office.

The 16-time world champion noted that it’s healthy to have different wrestling promotions around because at the end of the day, not every wrestler will make it to promotions such as WWE or AEW. He noted that he will be meeting AEW President Tony Khan this Thursday.

Flair said he hopes his Queen, Charlotte, breaks his record of 16 world titles, and also apologized to his other kids for living the nightmare of having their NWA World champion father back in the 80s.

At the end of the show after Trevor Murdoch beat Nick Aldis to win the NWA title, Flair came out to the ring to congratulate him as well.
