While Glenn Jacobs is done as a Knox County mayor, his time in politics seems far from over.

Axios is reporting that the WWE Hall of Famer, known to many as Kane, is one of the top candidates to take over a seat in the Senate after current Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn departs the office for a governor job.

If Blackburn wins her November election, she is then free to appoint a replacement, with Jacobs in the running for the position.

The former WWE champion spent eight years as mayor and wrapped up his duties at the beginning of the month.
