Ronda Rousey to serve as executive producer for upcoming MMA movie

Deadline is reporting that “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey will serve as an executive producer for an upcoming MMA drama movie titled Brawlers.

Set against the backdrop of Los Angeles’ amateur MMA scene, the movie will have Harold Perrineau in its lead. Details of the plot are still being kept under wraps.

It will shoot on location in Los Angeles after the project was given the California tax incentive to film in the state.

Brawlers is written, directed, and produced by Jonathan Fernandez while Andrew Carlberg, and Jackie Carr will also co-produce. Erwin More and Jill Tanner are exec producing along with Rousey.
