Ricky Steamboat returns to the ring in six-man tag match with FTR

Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat has a successful return to the ring last night, winning the six-man tag match he was involved in at the Big Time Wrestling-promoted event titled Return of the Dragon.

Steamboat teamed up with FTR to take on Jay Lethal as Black Machismo, Brock Anderson, and former NWA champion Nick Aldis with Arn Anderson in their corner.

Steamboat, Harwood, and Wheeler all got their opponents in separate figure four leglocks for the win after all tapped out.

“I watched from the apron in amazement tonight. It had nothing to do with his moves or his athleticism,” tweeted Harwood after the match. “I was in awe of the little things he did. Things that made millions fall in absolute love with Ricky. They all reacted to the man; not the moves. I felt inferior tonight.”

This was the first match of Steamboat, 69, since June 2010. He had teamed up with his son Richie to take on Trent Beretta and Caylen Croft in an Florida Championship Wrestling show.
