Former WWE star Shad Gaspard presumed dead after vanishing at sea on Sunday

Former WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard of the Cryme Tyme tag team has gone missing while swimming and is presumed dead according to a story by TMZ.

The story says that Gaspard and his son were among a group of swimmers who got caught in a strong current around 4PM yesterday at Marina Del Rey Beach in California. Lifeguards managed to save his 10-year-old son but Gaspard has not been located yet and LA Fire Department said that they think that he “submerged.”

A massive search has since been commissioned with helicopters, divers, and lifeguards scouring the area where the incident happened. A witness at the scene said that when lifeguards went to save them, Gaspard told them to save his son first, which they did.

Unfortunately, a big wave then crashed on Gaspard and lifeguards were unable to locate him.

Gaspard, 39, signed a WWE developmental deal in 2005 and in 2006 he began tag teaming with JTG and the two formed Cryme Tyme. He was released from the company 10 years ago.
