Former WWE manager Slick recovering in ICU after heart attack

Former WWE manager Slick is recovering in an ICU after suffering a heart attack which required open-heart surgery.

The Book Pro Wrestler social media account revealed the news yesterday evening, with Steve Stasiak writing, “Only hours ago, we were celebrating the anniversary of Slick’s WWF debut and reflecting on everything he has brought to professional wrestling. We could not have imagined that before the day was over, we would be asking everyone to pray for the man behind the character, Kenneth Johnson.”

Stasiak added that the “Doctor of Style” made it to hospital in time and is now on the mend, with a slow recovery.

The heel manager accompanied several WWE Superstars during his day, including Akeem, The Big Boss Man, Warlord, Butch Reed, and many others. He remains absent from the WWE Hall of Fame, although he did induct the Big Boss Man in 2016.
