Former TNA and WWE star Kia Stevens cast in Netflix’s G.L.O.W.

The casting for Netflix’s upcoming wrestling series G.L.O.W. continues as seven new cast members have been announced according to Deadline Hollywood, including former TNA and WWE star Kia “Kharma/Awesome Kong” Stevens.

Britt Baron will play Justine, a teenage runaway. Jackie Tohn is Melrose, a Hollywood party girl. Kimmy Gatewood and Rebekka Johnson play Stacey and Dawn, best friends and hairdressers. Kate Nash is Rhonda, a British print model. Sunita Mani will play Arthie, a med student with Hollywood dreams, and Kia Steven is Tammé, an 80’s TV actress who is always the guest star, never the star.

Alison Brie, Marc Maron and Betty Gilpin were the first three cast members announced for the series which will tell the fictionalized story of Ruth, an out-of-work actress who finds one last chance to live her dreams in the form of a weekly series about female wrestlers. It is based on the promotion Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling which ran between 1986 and 1992.

Earlier this month, Chavo Guerrero was hired as the wrestling trainer for the cast.
