Enzo Amore’s alleged victim speaks, e-mail from police informing her about decision published

Philomena Sheahan, the alleged victim in the Enzo Amore rape case, issued a statement saying that there are “no words” to describe how she feels after knowing that “my rapist is walking away from this, free of charges, and will continue to be a part of society today.”

She said that she did this “for sexual assault survivors/victims who did not/do not have the courage to speak up about their stories,” even though there was no evidence found that corroborates her story apart from the fact that both parties were in the same hotel room.

“I did this in hopes that by coming out about what happened to me on October 19, 2017 & the correct legal measures taken, that my story may end in a little bit of hope with my assailant being prosecuted. To my disbelief & complete misfortune, this did not happen,” she wrote. Sheahan said that she “messed up” when she waited four days to report it to the police and the DNA samples were take after multiple trips to the shower and visits to the bathroom.

She added that the alleged incident changed her and now has frequent panic attacks, can rarely handle interaction with men, and wakes up during nights in complete panic. “I have PTSD & it shows itself in a variation of ways. I’m married to a woman named Depression & she is my lover,” she continued. “Eric Arndt is not innocent, & I AM A SURVIVOR.”

Meanwhile, the e-mail sent to Sheahan by police detective Greg C. Scheffer from the Adult Sex Crimes Unit at the Phoenix PD to inform her there is no case was also published. The report states that this case was difficult because there was not enough corroborating evidence which is very hard to allow for the submission of criminal charges. “Unfortunately we did not have any direct witnesses during the incident, and the lab results did not corroborate the incident in a manner that would help move the investigation toward prosecution.”
