Dwayne Johnson in talks for lead role in upcoming WWE Studios movie.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news yesterday that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and director McG are both in talks to head up the Fall Guy movie which will be financed by WWE Studios and Hyde Park Entertainment.

Fall Guy was an ABC series that ran from 1981 to 1986 and starred Lee Majors as a Hollywood stunt man who supplemented his income by doing bounty hunter work.

The script was written by Zack Stentz and Ashley Edward Miller who worked on Thor and X-Men: First Class.

If everything goes according to plan, this will be Johnson’s first involvement with WWE Studios in a leading role. WWE got credit in his early movies such as Scorpion King and The Rundown since they owned his name and trademark back then.
