CM Punk to appear in upcoming TV wrestling series Heels on STARZ

Former WWE champion CM Punk will be appearing in the upcoming Heels television series for STARZ, a series fronted by huge wrestling fan Stephen Amell.

Punk noted on Twitter several days ago that he was quarantining for work, leading to many wondering if he was entering the Royal Rumble. But Amell broke the news yesterday that Punk was on-set for the filming of Heels.

“Please welcome @CMPunk to @HeelsSTARZ,” Amell tweeted. “He was a little rusty in the ring yesterday, but I assured him it was just like riding a bike.” Amell also posted a photo of the two together in the ring. The Hollywood star was sporting a Young Bucks shirt.

Heels follows the journey of the men and women who try to follow their dreams on the indie scene in a small Georgia community. Amell will play Jack Spade and Ludwig will play Ace Spade, two brothers and rivals who go to war over their late father’s legacy.
