Bully Ray says Dudley Boyz back in WWE is “best for business”

Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard section has a very interesting interview with Devon Hughes and Mark LoMonaco, the duo better known as Team 3D and the Dudley Boyz.

In this interview, the duo wonder why they’re still not back in the WWE despite Bully Ray just recently returning to TNA television full time.

“For us not to be back there, knowing that we’re in the best shape we’ve ever been in, I don’t understand it,” said D-Von. “We’re better now than we were ten or fifteen years ago.

His tag team partner and now the on-screen man in charge at TNA Wrestling said that if you add the Dudley Boyz to the WWE tag team division you will instantly add credibility to the division. Calling the Dudley Boyz back in WWE “best for business,” the former TNA champion is still unsure why they are not signed back.

“The great thing about the Dudleys is we can work with any team and we can work any style. Not only will we help one team get over and learn and get better, but we can help all of them. It seems pretty simple to me – having the Dudleys back in the WWE is best for business, so I don’t have a really great answer for why we are not there. Only they know,” he added.

The two acknowledged that returning to the WWE may never happen, but then used the old wrestling saying of “never say never,” noting that it “could be right around the corner.”

Bully Ray said it was great to go back to the WWE for the Rumble and couldn’t say enough good things about how much fun he had. He said he loved the fact that he was out there only for a few minutes because that leaves fans wanting for more.

As for D-Von? He never got the call to go back at the Rumble. “It was a little bit of a slap in the face,” he said.

Reaching out to Justin Barrasso, the man who conducted the interview for Sports Illustrated, we asked when was this interview done considering Ray just returned full time to TNA.

“Just a few days ago,” Barrasso replied. “They’re available if the right offer is presented,” he said, suggesting that Ray might not be working under a TNA contract.
