Andrade El Idolo to wrestle at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20

Andrade will be appearing at the upcoming Wrestle Kingdom 20 pay-per-view and wrestling on the show.

The Mexican star, who remains under a one-year no-compete clause from WWE after getting fired from the promotion, is believed to get approval from WWE on a case-by-case basis to appear at shows. He was recently given permission to appear at a WWC show in Puerto Rico where he won their major title and last week showed up at the House of Glory indie show.

Andrade appeared via video on today’s NJPW show at the Korakuen Hall where he said he was the backer of United Empire. He will join Great-O-Khan, Callum Newman, Henare, and a mystery partner in a 10-man tag match against David Finlay, Shingo Takagi, Gabe Kidd, Drilla Moloney, and Hiromu Takahashi.

Wrestle Kingdom takes place on Sunday, January 4 live from the Tokyo Dome in front of around 50,000 fans who will witness Hiroshi Tanahashi’s final match.
