Renee Paquette signs with AEW, debuts on Dynamite

Renee Paquette has signed with All Elite Wrestling and started her duties with the promotion last night in Toronto.

Multiple insiders reported last week that WWE inquired about Paquette several weeks ago to see if she wanted to return to the company but declined the offer, leading them to believe that she was AEW-bound.

On Twitter yesterday, AEW President Tony Khan welcomed Paquette to the team and at the start of Dynamite, Paquette walked out in front of the Toronto crowd for her debut to a big pop.

“LFG!! So so happy to be a part of this incredible team!! I love wrestling @aew,” wrote Paquette on her social media.

Paquette worked for WWE between 2012 and 2020 and made history by becoming the first permanent Raw commentator and also the first woman to work a show in Saudi Arabia for WWE. She hosted Backstage for FS1 during her final year with WWE and left after SummerSlam 2020.

Her husband, Jon Moxley, signed a five-year extension with AEW last week.
