PAC vs Hangman Page scrapped from the Double or Nothing PPV

The Hangman Page vs PAC match at next week’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view has been canceled after what seems to be over creative differences. The match was one of the earliest ones announced for this AEW inaugural show.

PAC, who wrestled in WWE as Neville, apparently has refused to do the job because he’s the Dragon Gate champion and with Page being one of the men behind AEW from the start, it was decided that the match should be scrapped from the pay-per-view and have Page wrestle someone else.

An angle was set up last night during the WrestleGate show in Nottingham, England to explain why PAC won’t be wrestling at Double or Nothing. PAC’s original match was changed and then he issued an open challenge. Page came out and the two wrestled a match which eventually finished with a DQ because PAC hit the low blow on the ref. The former WWE Cruiserweight champion then attacked Page with a chair and smashed his leg.

Afterward, PAC announced that he would not be traveling to Las Vegas to be part of AEW’s Double or Nothing because his objective to injure Hangman has been successful today.
