AEW announced that the New Year’s Smash episode of Dynamite will take place on Friday, January 1, head-to-head with WWE’s Smackdown.
The Gateway Arena in Atlanta, Georgia will play host to this very rare Friday edition of Dynamite. A Collision themed episode of New Year’s Smash will also be taped from the same arena the following night in Collision’s regular time slot.
Tickets for these two events go on sale on Friday, October 30.
It looks like WWE will not be live that day as the January 1 episode of Smackdown is scheduled to be taped on Monday, December 28 following Raw.
