MJF and Samoa Joe will be defending the ROH Tag Team titles next week on the New Year’s Smash themed episode of Dynamite.

After taking out several of The Devil’s masked men during an in-ring promo on the show, The Devil appeared on the big screen and pushed for MJF to defend the ROH Tag Team titles next week, presumably against two of the henchmen.

Samoa Joe accepted the challenge on behalf of MJF and said he would team up with the AEW World champion instead of Adam Cole.

AEW President Tony Khan said in a conference call with reporters last week that the idea of stripping MJF and Cole the tag team titles was discussed and is an option. Cole is currently injured and out for a long time, leaving MJF without a proper partner.
