Kris Statlander becomes number one contender for AEW Women’s title

AEW newcomer Kris Statlander became the number one contender for the AEW Women’s title after she defeated Dr. Britt Baker last night on Dynamite.

Statlander, who signed an AEW deal last week, will now be facing AEW Women’s champion Riho on the New Year’s Day episode of Dynamite which will take place from Daly’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. Daly’s Place is the same location where AEW held Fight for the Fallen back in July.

Statlander hails from New York and only started wrestling two years ago. She has wrestled for EVOLVE, AAW, Shimmer, and other independent promotions.
