Former WWE VP of Global TV Production Michael Mansury joins AEW

Michael Mansury, the former WWE Vice President of Global Television Production, has joined All Elite Wrestling in what is a major hire for the promotion.

Mansury, who left WWE on his own in May 2020, will officially start with AEW tomorrow on Dynamite. The hiring was originally reported by PWInsider.com and Mansury then tweeted about re-entering the crazy world of pro wrestling by writing, “Hello wrestling, my old friend…” And a GIF of Tom Hanks waving.

Mansury started his WWE career in 2009 as a Production Assistant and rose through the ranks to become one of the most important people in WWE television. He was promoted to an Associate Producer in 2012 and then a Producer the following year. In 2014, he was giving the Managing Producer title before two years later he was promoted again to VP of Global Television Production.

He was often lauded as the probable replacement of Kevin Dunn when it’s time for Dunn to retire. Mansury was doing most of the directing for WWE television shows and pay-per-views.

After he left WWE, Mansury worked for the Pat McAfee Show and the ONE MMA promotion.
