One of the highlights of this year’s Royal Rumble will not be used much anymore, if at all, as former World Heavyweight champion Christian was revealed as the mystery signing at Revolution yesterday.
Using his Impact Wrestling name again of Christian Cage, the former WWE Superstar was unveiled by Paul Wight during the pay-per-view and signed his contract on the show. He did not speak at all.
The 47-year-old returned to the ring at the Royal Rumble as one of the mystery entrants after an absence of seven years from the ring due the concussion-related problems. Christian was not used again by WWE after the Rumble and during a post-match interview, he said he was promised one more match and that might have been it.
During his WWE career, Christian won the World Heavyweight title twice, the ECW title twice, the European, Hardcore, and Light Heavyweight title once, the Intercontinental title four times, and won the Tag Team titles nine different times with three different partners.
