Andrade El Idolo returns to AEW on Dynamite’s sixth anniversary episode

Andrade became the first star to leave WWE to join AEW and then quit AEW to join WWE and then get dismissed from WWE and join AEW again.

The Mexican star returned on Dynamite last night under a mask and then attacked Kenny Omega following the opening match of the show.

Andrade interrupted Omega during an in-ring promo when the lights went out and when they came back up, he was standing behind Omega but sporting a mask. He unmasked himself and took down Omega with an underhook DDT.

Don Callis then got in the ring and shook El Idolo’s hand, with the former TNT champion joining the Don Callis Family faction.

Andrade was fired by WWE a few weeks ago due to disciplinary issues which also included another strike to the WWE Wellness Program. He joined WWE in January 2024, just a month after he had his last AEW match.
