Orange Cassidy knocked out on Dynamite, three-way match for AEW World title

Orange Cassidy was legit knocked out during his number one contender’s match against Pac yesterday during Dynamite, resulting in the match being cut short and changed on the fly.

Cassidy received a kick to the face and a nasty looking power bomb in quick succession, leaving him in lala land. While the end result was supposed to be a draw according to PWInsider.com, the match ended in a double countout for the first non-finish match in AEW. AEW President Tony Khan always boasts that AEW matches have a finish unlike their competition but common sense prevailed in this one.

As medical personnel checked on Cassidy, Kenny Omega attacked Pac with the title, allowing the ref to count them out with none of the two AEW stars responding to a 10-count.

After the match was over, commentator Tony Schiavone informed Omega and his sidekick Don Callis that the main event for the AEW World title at Double or Nothing will now be a three-way with Omega vs Pac vs Cassidy.
