AEW stars participate in CMLL’s 93rd Anniversary Show in Mexico

Several AEW stars participated in last night’s CMLL 93rd anniversary show at a sold-out Arena Mexico in Mexico City.

In the matches, Blue Panther defeated Jeff Jarrett, Titan defeated Komander to retain the CMLL World Welterweight title, Soberano Jr defeated Bandido, Persephone retained the CMLL Women’s title against Starlight Kid, Mina Shirakawa, and Tessa Blanchard, Andrade El Idolo defeated Volador Jr., and Hechicero defeated Claudio Castagnoli to retain the CMLL World title.

AEW and CMLL do share some wrestlers with dual contracts, including Persephone, Hechicero, and Castagnoli, himself a former CMLL World champion.
