AEW smashes their attendance record at Dynamite: Grand Slam

AEW smashed their attendance record last night with Dynamite: Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York, although the event did not sell out.

The company kept adding seats up until the last day or so with the stadium configured to seat 20,303 fans. According to the ticket tracker service WrestleTix, AEW moved a whopping 19,079 tickets for its Wednesday show for a 94% sell.

Yesterday’s Dynamite drew over a $1 million gate which is also a record for a Dynamite.

During the broadcast, AEW announced an attendance of 20,177 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. The previous record was at the United Center with 15,316 for the CM Punk debut.
