Adam Cole suffering from yet another concussion

Multiple industry insiders are reporting that Adam Cole received a concussion from a Kyle Fletcher lariat on Thursday during Collision.

The planned TNT title match was still a go on Friday according to AEW President Tony Khan but discussions with Cole later in the night and then during yesterday morning changed the course of the match.

Khan revealed during the post-show media scrum that Cole was not feeling well yesterday morning and he made the decision to pull the plug and vacate the TNT title, putting on a replacement match instead.

Cole has a history of concussions and it’s a problem that has kept him on the sidelines in AEW for long months in the past.

A very emotional Cole had a goodbye speech at All In yesterday, although he said he’s not thinking about retirement just yet. Cole cried throughout his speech, suggesting that this was it for him.

Several of his peers also paid tribute to the former leader of the Undisputed Era on social media, with the likes of Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Alistair Black, Christopher Daniels, Alan Angels, Britt Baker, and others all putting over Cole.
