Cena “joins” The Shield after Smackdown goes off the air

The Boston crowd yesterday at Smackdown was given a nice surprise at the end of the Smackdown tapings involving John Cena and The Shield.

After cameras went off the air, John Cena came out to confront the Wyatt Family and wanted a match against Wyatt. Kane came out and said he’ll have the match against Wyatt, Harper, and Rowan in a 3-on-1 handicap match.

Just as Cena was getting ready to go in the ring, The Shield came out followed by Vickie Guerrero, who was none too happy about Kane making that match. She told Kane she’s the GM of Smackdown and only she makes matches so she ordered the Wyatts and Kane to take on Cena and The Shield.

After the match was over, Cena grabbed the mic and told the Boston crowd that The Shield has been one of the most unstoppable factions in a long, long time in the WWE however he wanted to join them for one night only.

He said that for the wonderful crowd in his hometown of Boston, maybe they can give them something, four members of The Shield inside the ring, and 12,000 members of The Shield outside the ring.

Cena said that it’s alright if they don’t want to and all they have to do is give him the thumbs down and he’ll go drinking somewhere.

Roman Reigns then took the mic and said they agree as long as they all join him for drinks afterward! Cena said it’s fine and all the drinks are on him.

With that said, Reigns, Ambrose, Rollins, and Cena all put their fists together as Cena screamed “Believe In The Shield” to a big ovation from the crowd. He shook hands with all of them and left them in the ring alone  to celebrate.
