AEW files lawsuit against Queen of the Ring movie production company over unpaid sponsorship fees

Brandon Thurston is reporting via PostWrestling.com that AEW is suing Ring Productions LLC, the company behind the production of the movie Queen of the Ring, for $105,000 for unpaid sponsorship fees.

AEW had a deal of $350,000 with the company to promote the movie through various methods, including trailers playing at AEW events, ringside appearances, and other digital advertising.

Now, AEW is claiming in the lawsuit that Ring Productions LLC still owes them $100,000 in unpaid sponsorship fees and $5,000 in travel costs plus a 1.5% interest.

AEW’s Toni Storm and Britt Baker were part of the movie and so was Naomi from WWE. Mickie James was also part of the cast.

The movie, which opened only in 825 theaters, ended up with just $657,661 in domestic gross.
