Chad Gable’s road to redemption will continue at SummerSlam after he won a gauntlet match on Raw to become the number one contender for the WWE Intercontinental title.

The mat started with Dominik Mysterio defeating Joe Hendry, who then lost to Je’Von Evans. Evans defeated Dragon Lee but lost to Rusev, before Gable came out and defeated Rusev and then Ethan Page to earn the title shot.

After a run as the Original El Grande Americano, Gable’s newfound success seems to be going forward and now he has a chance of getting his first singles WWE gold.

Gable vs Penta is the fifth match officially announced for SummerSlam.
