Complete madness! Danhausen is the “king of New York” after NY Knicks win NBA title

What started out as a gamble with Danhausen uncursing the New York Knicks in the NBA Playoffs turned out to be complete madness as the Knicks became NBA champions last night, ending a 53-year drought.

Danhausen was appearing regularly on ESPN because of his cursing gimmick and got the best possible outcome he could have hoped for with the Knicks winning it all.

“DANHAUSEN IS THE KING OF NEW YORK!,” he wrote on X after the win. “CONGRATULATIONS @nyknicks THE KINGS OF NEW YORK! UNCURSED!”

The WWE star originally “cursed” the Knicks in the NBA Playoffs, and they were losing, but a fan eventually paid the money to Danhausen to lift the curse, and miraculously started winning again.

After the game finished, WWE immediately posted a photo of Danhausen to their millions of followers on social media and then released merchandise of Danhausen with the NY Knicks, including a special edition of the Knicks title replica.

Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline is also reporting that TKO is working on a deal for Danhausen with the Knicks and the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden will be Knicks-heavy, with members of the team being invited over for the show.
