Gunther to get WWE title rematch on Smackdown

After threatening to file a lawsuit for the injustice that happened at Clash in Italy, Gunther will get a rematch for the WWE title in two weeks on the June 19 episode of Smackdown in Kanas City.

The match will have a stipulation attached to it, a stipulation which Gunther will be revealing on next week’s episode of Smackdown. The date of the match was chosen by Rhodes, who said he wants to do it as soon as possible.

Gunther lost the title match against Rhodes in Turin despite having his feet under the bottom rope for the first two-count and then Rhodes made sure it was not there for the three. By rule, the count should have stopped at the beginning since Gunther’s feet were under the ropes.
