Jim Ross says doctors worried he is suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s

During the latest episode of his podcast Grilling JR, Hall of Famer Jim Ross revealed that his doctors are worried that he could be suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s.

The AEW commentator had some rough few years battling health issues, including multiple bouts with cancers, and now he’s battling something that there’s no cure for.

“I had a very positive doctor’s appointment with my neurologist. Everybody’s getting in on the act, man,” Ross said. “So, the neurologist and I had an appointment, and they took a bunch of blood, and ran some tests. I think they’re worried about me losing my…dementia or Alzheimer’s.”

Ross said he asked his doctor what they’re going to do about it and the answer was simple.

“There’s not a cure,” Ross said. “If there’s meds that I should be taking preemptively, tell me what they are and I’ll do it. But we’ll see how it works out.”

Ross continued saying that he feels great at the moment but getting old is a “bitch.”

The 74-year-old said that his limited AEW schedule keeps him “fresh” but admired that new arrival Mick Foley could take his place if the disease progresses fast.
