Nick Khan asked when is WWE bringing WrestleMania to Cleveland during Senate Commerce Committee hearing

During a Senate Commerce Committee hearing today, WWE President Nick Khan was asked by Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno when is WWE bringing WrestleMania to Cleveland.

“If you could answer a different question, what is it going to take to bring WrestleMania to Cleveland, Ohio?” Moreno asked. “We’re building a brand new stadium right next to the airport. It’s the only dome stadium in a cold weather climate that will be right next to a major airport. You can drive right across the street.”

He then gave Khan two choices: 2029 or 2030, and left the choice in his hand.

Khan mentioned that they had SummerSlam in 2024 in Cleveland and it was quite a successful event for the city and WWE.

“If it wasn’t enough that Logan Paul pressures me on bringing WrestleMania to Ohio on a weekly basis, now we feel the pressure from you, Senator, in a positive way,” Khan replied.

Moreno didn’t take the no answer.

“The feeling is a total and complete pressure, but you can pick between 2029 and 2030. I’ll leave that decision up to you. Thank you,” he added.

Khan was testifying on the proposed federal boxing reforms, specifically the Ali Act revival and was there representing TKO and Zuffa Boxing.
