WWE broadcaster Megan Morant qualifies for Olympic trials

WWE host Megan Morant announced that she has qualified for the Olympic trials.

Morant, an accomplished runner, wrote that while watching the Olympic Trials Marathon in 2020 and seeing a record number of women qualify, she wondered what if she tried to do it herself.

“I was a has-been. My successful high school running career led to a D1 college scholarship, but in college, things never really panned out,” Morant wrote. “Deep down inside, I knew I still had untapped potential in running, but I often thought: who cares? What’s the point?”

She said over the past several years, she has concentrated on her career but now believes that you can have a career and also be a high-level athlete at the same time.

“Easy? No. Doable? If you want it to be: Why not? I was inspired. I got curious. I wanted to be there. I went to work. Over 6 years later, my dream is now a reality. With the greatest support system in the world by my side, I just qualified for the Olympic Trials (how is this even real?!),” she continued.

The 31-year-old co-hosts the WWE Now Raw Recap podcast for WWE and is also a backstage correspondent.
