Germany, Austria, and Japan not getting WWE on Netflix in April after all

The e-mail issued to German, Austrian, and Japanese subscribers to the WWE Network announcing that all WWE programming will move to Netflix on April 1 was retracted.

While the WWE Network will shut down in the remaining countries that it airs at the end of this month, those in Germany, Austria, and Japan will continue to watch WWE on their regular TV for the time being.

Sebastian Hackl and Manu Thiele, the German commentators for WWE, both confirmed that Raw, Smackdown, and NXT will remain live on Bild while the replays are on ProSieben MAXX. The premium live events will continue on ProSieben MAXX as well. These agreements will run for a couple of more years so there’s no chance of WWE moving to Netflix there until they run out.

In Japan, ABEMA will continue to air all WWE programming with zero changes as well.
