Ric Flair does not appear on Dynamite, but makes it out briefly for arena audience

AEW advertised an appearance by Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat for last night’s Blood and Guts Dynamite but it was only Steamboat who made it live on television.

While he did not appear in front of cameras, the “Nature Boy” appeared very briefly for the audience as he did make it to Greensboro for the show. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Flair was in pain due to a recent rotator cuff tear and could not be included in the planned angle, prompting re-writes for the show.

Steamboat worked an angle with FTR during the broadcast where he was confronted by the former AEW Tag Team champions and was about to get on the receiving end of a spike piledriver, only for Brodido to save the day. The Hall of Famer did eventually get some few chops in and the faces reigned supreme by the end of the segment.

Steamboat did mention Flair during his in-ring promo but did not refer to him as being there.
