WWE President Nick Khan says they remain bullish on ticket prices strategy

WWE President Nick Khan said that capacity at WWE events have continued to be “very high” and they have increased prices “appropriately with the marketplace” during a conference call with investors yesterday.

Khan said they remain bullish about their strategy, which involved reducing the non-televised live events which were not profitable to create scarcity in the market for their televised events and international expansion.

“So even in January, you’ll see us on a European tour for Raw and SmackDown leading into Royal Rumble, which takes place in Saudi Arabia. Tickets already on fire for that event and again, creates more scarcity in the United States, which is a good thing in terms of our overall gates,” Khan said responding to a question by Goldman Sachs Group.

WWE has been criticized for increasing their ticket prices by a wide margin, and while some events have indeed continued to sell well, others, such as WrestleMania 42 have fallen flat.
