After NXT GM Ava appointed Jordynne Grace as the guest referee for the NXT vs TNA women’s match tomorrow, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella made his own announcement: Joe Hendry will be the referee of the men’s NXT vs TNA match.

Hendry voiced his frustration on social media after the teams were announced, saying he was in the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. Marella made the announcement via a video posted on X.

Both Grace and Hendry were kept off the card for tomorrow’s Showdown event, leaving many wondering how they could keep particularly those two off.
