WWE releases the number of subscribers for WWE Network

WWE today announced that they have a total of 667,287 subscribers on its WWE Network, on target to reach the 1 million subscribers by the end of 2014. The number comes in after just 42 days from launch on February 24.

It is currently only available in the United States although thousands of subscribers from all around the world subscribed anyway through different methods. It is expected to launch in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Nordics in late 2014 and early 2015.

The subscriber count does have a little asterisk attached to it as in the press release it says the number “does not account for potential failures to comply with subscription terms and six month commitment.”

Wall Street was not happy at all with the number and after WWE released the number, WWE stocks took a 20% dive.
