ROH Women’s TV champion Red Velvet out injured

ROH Women’s TV champion Red Velvet is injured and will be unable to compete at this Friday’s Supercard of Honor.

The news was announced by AEW President Tony Khan yesterday in a media call with the wrestling press ahead of All In weekend.

Khan said that an interim Women’s TV champion will be crowned soon in Velvet’s absence.

“Not the news I wanted to share. I won’t be cleared to compete at Supercard of Honor due to injury,” Velvet later wrote on social media. “Don’t get it twisted this is just a pause, not the end. To the new Interim ROH Women’s TV Champ congrats in advance. Hold it down, because when I come back? I’m coming for it ALL.”

It’s unclear what kind of injury Velvet is suffering from. Her last match came for CMLL on June 20.
