Jacy Jayne becomes the new NXT Women’s champion after shock main event win

An unexpected new NXT Women’s champion was crowned last night on The CW as Jacy Jayne shocked the wrestling world, defeating champion Stephanie Vaquer to win the title.

The win came after Vaquer had Jayne locked up in an armbar while hanging from the ropes, only for Fallon Henley to come around and kick Vaquer in the face while Jasmyn Nyx distracted the referee. Jayne then hit a discus punch and pinned Vaquer as the stunned audience looked on.

NXT ring announcer Mike Rome looked shocked and it was only after a few that he announced Jayne as the new champion.

The broadcast ended with Vaquer looking on as the Fatal Influence trio posed in the ring with Jayne holding up the NXT Women’s title above her shoulder.

This ends Vaquer’s 77-day reign as NXT champion. She won the title from Giulia at the NXT episode from The Theater at Madison Square Garden in March in a title vs title match.
