Charlotte Flair “clears the air” over Smackdown segment with Tiffany Stratton

After Tiffany Stratton addressed the train wreck segment between her and Charlotte Flair on a recent podcast, Flair took to social media to also – somewhat – give her own version of events.

It is believed that Flair was the first one to veer off script after making fun of Stratton’s voice, something that the Chicago crowd did not appreciate.

“After being blindsided by my personal trauma on live television, my character said something on-air that was not true, and I’d like to take this opportunity to clear the air,” Flair wrote. “I should have NEVER called the Chicago fans smart. I sincerely apologize.”

The fans inside the Allstate Arena rattled the self-proclaimed queen during the in-ring segment, booing her out of the building, forcing Flair to stop mid-sentences.

Flair took the last shot asking Tiff why her boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser was in her DMs, but by that time, Stratton was already out of the ring holding her title above her shoulder.

The comment didn’t go over very well with those backstage but it looks like both escaped any real consequences, for now.
