Ricky Saints will get his first shot at NXT gold next week as he challenges fellow former AEW star and current North American champion Shawn Spears.

The match will take place on the April 1 episode of NXT on CW.

Spears told Saints that if he can’t make it here, cannot go back to the other place as he burned all his bridges, referring to AEW. The two were involved in a sit-down segment which aired on last night’s episode.
