As expected, another mid-card title has been introduced for the Raw women, with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce unveiling the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title which will be exclusive to the red brand.

This follows the introduction of the Women’s United States title over at Smackdown two weeks ago.

The Women’s Intercontinental title features the same design as the men’s title but with a white strap instead.

A tournament will kick off to crown the inaugural champion, similar to what is being done on Smackdown. The final for the Smackdown Women’s United States title will be held on Saturday Night’s Main Event. No date has been given as to when the final for the Women’s Intercontinental title will be held yet.
