Reports: Ric Flair and Wooooo Energy Drink sponsorship done with AEW

Multiple industry insiders are reporting that Ric Flair’s time in AEW seems to have come to an end prematurely.

The Wooooo Energy Drink sponsorship that has been part of AEW TV broadcasts over the last several months has stopped as well and both that and Flair are not expected to feature on AEW television moving forward.

AEW President Tony Khan announced in November of last year that Flair signed a multi-year deal with the company which enabled Flair to be used on TV as an on-screen character as well as his energy drink to appear during the shows.

Flair has not been seen since Sting’s farewell.

It remains unclear who pulled the plug on the sponsorship deal less than a year since it was announced.

In an interview months ago, Khan claimed that Flair is actually paying AEW to appear through his energy drink sponsorship and not the other way round.
