Kazuchika Okada officially a free agent as NJPW deal expires

Kazuchika Okada is officially a free agent after his New Japan Pro-Wrestling contract expired today.

In a message on X, Okada thanked NJPW for 17 years of employment, writing that he laughed, cried, got angry, but it was a great run. He said he looks forward to wrestle the last three matches for the promotion as a free agent.

His NJPW merchandise on Pro Wrestling Tees were also pulled as he contemplates his next move in the United States. Okada is favorite to land in AEW in the next several weeks although WWE are also in play and it’s a move that Okada is at least considering.

Those close to Okada have suggested that his final decision has not been made.
