Deonna Purrazzo responds to body shaming comments on AEW Instagram video

s comments limited after the reel turned into a body shaming one, with many fans poking fun at Purrazzo’s weight and look while she wrestled Red Velvet on Collision.

Now, the new AEW star took to social media to acknowledge the post and the effect such things have on them.

“I tweeted because I thought it was important to let it be known that we, all of us, see the negative comments/tweets and it does effect us. We are humans too,” Purrazzo wrote. “Also because it’s important to show other women and girls that their value is not defined by their body. Rather, their hearts, minds, & successes.”

Purrazzo noted that she received a lot of outpouring love and support following what happened and is now crying happy tears.

“This is the best side of this community. I’m choosing to be grateful tonight. Thank you,” she added.
