Oba Femi cashes in and wins the NXT North American title

It did not take long for Oba Femi to cash in his contract after winning the NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament last week as he is now the new NXT North American champion.

Femi had the option to cash in on any title he wanted and yesterday took advantage of that and cashed in after Dragon Lee successfully defended it against Lexis King in the main event of the show.

The quick match ended after Femi hit the Last Ride powerbomb on Lee. Lee won the title from Dom Mysterio when he was already part of the Smackdown roster so it made sense to have the title move back to someone who is weekly on NXT.

Femi, originally from Nigeria, signed a WWE contract in the Summer of 2022 after he had a NIL deal the prior year.
