Charlotte Flair out for up to nine months with knee injury

It’s bad news for Charlotte Flair as it was revealed on Smackdown last night that the former multi-time champion will be on the sidelines for up to nine months with a knee injury.

Charlotte was injured when she wrestled Asuka on last week’s show and the match went to an abrupt end as she couldn’t put much weight on her leg. She was later seen shouting “my knee” to WWE referee Charles Robinson as trainers attended to her.

She could not walk to the back on her own and had to be assisted.

The nine-month time frame would put Flair out of WrestleMania 40 and perhaps back in time for SummerSlam.
