Fremantle, the company in Europe that has the license for WWE Home Video, announced via a statement today on social media that they will stop publishing WWE DVDs and Blu-Rays after 2023 following a decision by WWE to stop licensing deals on home video.
“WWE Home Video have been releasing VHS, DVD & Blu-ray for 36 years, the last 11 years through Fremantle in Europe, but this will come to an end on 31st December 2023 with no further WWE DVD or Blu-ray stock manufactured,” Fremantle wrote in the statement.
“Everyone at WWE Home Video UK would like to thank all our collectors and fans for many years of support and passion,” the statement read.
At the end of 2021, there was a similar decision taken but a last-minute deal saved the home video business in Europe.
The last WWE Home Video release from Fremantle will be Crown Jewel 2023 on a two-disc DVD later this month.
