The impossible has happened. CM Punk returned to WWE at the Survivor Series, coming out to a monstrous pop after the ending of the main event.
With the show finishing around 15 minutes earlier than usual, you knew something was up and everyone at the Allstate Arena was treated to a huge surprise.
Several loud CM Punk chants rang through the building during the show but when Cult of Personality hit the speakers, fans went ballistic.
Punk came out and absorbed all the love from the crowd and teased the Superstars who stayed in the ring to watch the circus. He celebrated with the fans as Seth Rollins visibly showed his displeasure as to what just happened.
Punk did not approach the ring and stayed at the top of the entrance and did not speak, but you can bet it will be open mic night on Monday!
WWE has teased Punk for several weeks with subtle references throughout Raw and Smackdown and Punk played along on social media.
The former two-time AEW champion was fired from AEW in September following a fight with Jack Perry backstage at All In in London.
This was his first appearance on WWE television since Royal Rumble 2014.
